The boat was clean and in good condition. Nic from Sam Boat has generally been great, with timeous responses to questions and changes. We encountered communication difficulties with Gena, the sub-contracted Charter Company;
* We were not told beforehand that all payments on boarding were expected in cash, which we were not prepared for.
* I was asked to show a contract, which had not provided by Sam Boat.
* The Charter company was unaware of what options we had decided on.
* The shopping arrived late.
* When I asked for the WiFi password, the Gena representative told me it had 'been provided'. He happily watched me scroll through all Sam Boat e-mails on my phone, to no avail, watched phone his manager without success, and e-mail Sam Boat and the administration team, with no response (because it was Saturday evening). Eventually, I found it written on the back of the receipt given to me by the Gena representative!!
It was a poor start to an otherwise pleasant week.
Great experience in Turkey. First time sailing in that area. Only problem we had was with the outboard for the dinghy which was in poor condition and broke down after 2 days despite having paid an extra 100 euros a week for it.
